Sunita Bhuyan

Sunita Bhuyan is an internationally acclaimed violinist with a remarkable career spanning over 25 years. She has garnered numerous awards for her pioneering work in harnessing the power of arts and music to promote Creativity, Wellbeing, and Culture. Sunita is recognized as a trailblazing Leadership Trainer in India, utilizing the medium of Arts and Music for structured interventions that explore the intricacies of Leadership, Collaboration, and Change.
Sunita Bhuyan made history as the first violinist in the world to interpret Assamese folk music on the classical violin, a groundbreaking achievement showcased through the celebrated Times Music album, "Bihu Strings" in 2012. Her innovative spirit extends to fusing diverse folk styles from regions across India, including Rajasthan and Bengal, as well as seamlessly blending them with Celtic, jazz, and world folk influences..
In addition to her musical prowess, Sunita serves as an Advisor and Director for multiple international folk fusion ensembles, contributing her expertise to renowned festivals such as Paddy Fields, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Glasgow Music Festival, Edinburgh Music Festival, and the High Commission of India in the UK. Sunita Bhuyan's multifaceted talents and dedication to the arts perfectly align with Suraj Foundation's mission to promote Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Surajit Bhuyan
Director
Surajit is an implementation specialist of community programs and skill development projects in both rural and urban areas across India. He has 15+ years experience in running sustainable livelihood programs which touched the lives of more than 10,000 rural youth, especially women in various regions of Northeast India.
Prior to the current development sector work, he was associated with several leading corporates in senior capacities. He specialises in Marketing and Distribution.
He is also a keen patron of art forms, especially folk art and promotes the same by working with various stakeholders.

KB Rajendran
Director
A seasoned professional with extensive corporate experience, including leadership roles at Airtel, Sify, Essar, and Enron, now dedicated to social impact. Expertise spans technology, strategic leadership and a passion for fostering entrepreneurship and skill development, particularly within underserved communities. A strong advocate for women's empowerment, pioneering initiatives like Drone Didi which trains women in drone technology for agriculture, creating new economic opportunities. Actively mentors tech startups and serves on startup incubation selection panels, nurturing future entrepreneurs in AI, IoT, XR, Drone tech etc.
KBR is a B.Tech from NIT, Kozhikode and MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur
